International Islamic University Malaysia Debate League 2007
IIUM LEAGUE SEM I 2007/2008
To continue the efforts of last semester's iium debate league which had an average of 40 teams per weekend, i would like to announce the tentative dates for the proposed league this semester, hopefully it wont clash with any other IV coming up. everyone is invited, as last semester we had teams from UM, KLIUC, MMU,UiTM,STAR,UNITEN,UPSI,we are hoping more teams can join in since this is the 'correct season' for BP.
Participation is free(no accomodation or food will be provided,if u need rooms, we can provide in iium hostels as long as u give us 4 working days notice, and
u have to pay), British parliamentary style. no team cap, just inform us in advance how many teams ur sending so we can have enough venues . (seriously, uitm had 12 teams last time). this time around we do hope teams would abide by the N-1 rule, since if theres not enough judges we wont be able to debate those rounds. and hopefully more alumnis would spare their time to help out in adjudicating or debating
(latif and sani had a team together, those who werent here missed out big time(imagine omes and latif this time))as this tourney is not only meant to be competitive, but to also help develop new debaters and adjudicators.
The official dates will be announced once we have finalized the program, and official
invitation letters can be given. any feedback on the dates, please do contact me ASAP. do come, this is fantastic preparation for worlds and WUPID.
